HelpBridge is the go-to mobile companion for migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong where domestic workers can ask questions, answer, post, and follow favorite ideas through our topic-based discussion forums. Through the profiles they create in the app, domestic workers can engage in an informative and dynamic community that empowers them and eliminates the stigma they feel when seeking help. This mobile application startup is founded by a group of young entrepreneurs motivated to provide migrant domestic workers with a one-stop platform to support, validate and elevate their daily lives. Currently under development, the HelpBridge app will be structured as a community of discussion forums where users can publish posts and questions, with such threads being open to responses from an open online community of professionals, pro-bono lawyers, and global organizations. The app will also provide educational HelpBridge content on topics such as legal rights, financial management, cultural know-how, Hong Kong news, and day-to-day needs. In the long run, we aspire to be the go-to mobile app for complete and reliable support for all migrant workers in the Asia Pacific region.
