Who we're looking for

The Director of Marketing is a key member of the leadership team responsible for devising effective marketing strategies and campaigns to engage and grow our audience of buyers, sellers, seasoned and novice watch enthusiasts. As a marketplace, your core objective is to grow buyers and sellers whilst building awareness and loyalty to our brand. You will work cross-functionally with Product, Creative, Brand, Editorial, Finance and Engineering to understand the economics of our business in order to develop short and long term strategies that drive meaningful growth for the company. You’ll manage a team of marketers skilled in performance marketing, content marketing and social media to help execute your strategies against our core objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of what makes people tick, as well as a drive to deliver solutions that make a difference. What you will be doing
  • People Leadership. Manage a team of marketers to guide the strategic roadmap alongside our CMO. Mentor and provide training to ensure team is consistently performing above standard
  • Engage users. Leverage data to drive and manage customer engagement across our website and social media accounts. Find creative solutions to drive traffic to our Landmark based store
  • Conversion. Audit our existing funnel, drive A/B testing and share outcomes with our Product team to improve the customer experience and drive conversion
  • Content strategy. Create data-driven, SEO-friendly content strategy to grow engagement. Unite teams on content direction for a unified digital experience
  • User growth. Understand our users and identify the most effective channels and growth strategies to grow and develop our audience. As a two sided marketplace, supply is key to demand, and you will be responsible for implementing both buyer and seller marketing strategies
  • Project Management. Manage quarterly roadmap against wider company OKRs, using Asana to define timelines and see projects through to completion
  • Continuous optimization. Evaluate effectiveness of activities and establish a continuous improvement process
  • Creative Partnerships. Explore key relationships and develop collaborations with key brand partners that will further strengthen brand credibility
  • Budget. Set and deploy marketing budgets across all marketing needs driving healthy ROI
  • Reporting. Track key performance indicators and report performance in weekly and monthly syncs with stakeholders
  • Analytics. Utilize internal dashboards to understand the customer journey and identify areas for improvement
  • Best practices. Apply best practices and anticipate, manage and mitigate project risks. Adapt to market and consumer trends and stay abreast of competitor activities
Who you are
  • Bachelor in marketing, advertising, communication, business or equivalent hands on experience
  • 10+ years of experience in digital, content, social and performance marketing
  • Track record of success in leading lean and high performing teams in a fast-paced environment. Experienced in recruiting, mentoring and developing people
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage, coordinate, and deliver multiple projects to deadline and work under pressure
  • A strong understanding of global marketing trends. Knowledge of China Marketing is a big advantage
  • Working experience with online and offline campaigns, integrated campaigns that can be digital, print, broadcast, events, etc.
  • Experience with digital analytical tools, CRM systems, design software and all social media channels, email marketing
  • Strong analytical skills and must be able to interpret raw data into meaningful insights and KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface effectively with stakeholders
  • E-commerce or marketplace experience is a bonus
  • Understanding and appreciation of watches or luxury goods
