Who we're looking for

We are looking for an innovative and trusted Pricing Manager/ Director with significant achievements in global pricing. As the Pricing Manager/Director, you will be ultimately own and be responsible for, and support in the management of, pricing strategies around our global products. Balancing customer needs, commercial targets and aggressive growth and market share aspirations. You'll ensure the pricing structures are simple, transparent and fair meeting our “Customer First” number 1 company value. Carrying this out in line with business risk appetite and regulatory requirements, we'll also rely on you applying the right settings for credit risk parameters and margin management. Working with your equivalents in Finance and Treasury around the management of pricing strategies, your remit will also extend to carrying out scenario planning for multiple outcomes in response to changes in the competitive and regulatory environment. Pricing will need to meet local market conditions but encourage the building of a global ecosystem that connects Buyers and Sellers around the world on our single payments platform.

What you will be doing
  • Define, obtain global approval and buy in for, execute, and continually optimise pricing strategies and price models tailored to support and drive WorldFirst’s accelerated growth mission.
  • Identify new revenue models and enhance existing revenue models to optimize net revenue growth
  • Gather competitive market intelligence, perform comparison of pricing relative to alternative options, and analyze revenue impact to any changes as a result of data obtained
  • Build and evolve cost allocation and pricing models to be accurate, robust, and efficient, in a way that captures the economics of the underlying product
  • Drive rigour and consistency in our process of updating these models and sharing them with the wider business
  • Own price changes, end-to-end, in partnership with product, marketing and regional commercial leadership, and build a framework to analyze and understand the impact of these changes on our growth
  • Oversee pricing system development work, and management of operational and compliance issues related to pricing that arise
  • Develop actionable insight from our data on costs and price, and partner with our product and operations teams to identify opportunities to scale costs and drive down price
  • Drive the strategic evolution of how we price for our newer segments, products and markets
  • Ensure the relevant controls are in place that assure we set the right price, charge the right price, and collect the right revenue across users and transactions
Who you are
  • Proven experience at a high growth B2B tech or payments company owning pricing including the analytics, implementation, and strategy
  • Previous experience of delivering change/improvement projects, end to end, into large global teams
  • The ability to use industry knowledge and/or personal experience to help shape and drive the Commercial Growth Agenda.
  • Experienced at partnering with and challenging stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including at the executive level
  • Technically proficient: you have a good command of SQL, financial modelling and scenario analysis. A working knowledge of Python and/or R is a bonus
  • Data-driven and scientific commercial mindset that allows this person to validate or disprove assumptions on how to grow the business
  • Bilingual Mandarin/English required
