Who we're looking for

We are recruiting for a Human Resources Trainee, Recruitment - People Operations (3-month contract) to join our People and Culture team in our Hong Kong headquarters. This position will begin with a 3-month contract and with the potential opportunity to extend the contract to a permanent role after organizational and performance review when the initial 3-month period ends. The priorities for this role will include but not be limited to oversee and execute talent acquisition, setting up amazing on-boarding processes, analysis & negotiation, and various recruitment operations duties. We move fast and develop a lot of ideas so you will have to keep up with our pace and be a catalyst to positive change. You will be great at prioritizing tasks in a busy environment and be able to show that you can hit deadlines and exceed expectations.

What you will be doing

Recruitment, Selection & On-boarding

  • Improve engaging recruitment processes for all sorts of employment types including but not limited to permanent, part time, contract and temporary positions across various business and departments
  • Monitor and ensure recruitment standards are maintained at the highest practicable level
  • Get involved with the on-boarding process for new employees to promote engagement and positive experience

Employee Relations & Reporting:

  • Assist daily operational HR tasks and systems
  • Assist with terminations, resignations and redundancies in conjunction with line managers
  • Ensure organizational updates are rolled out in an engaging way and that provides an outlet for questions
  • Participate employee related issues as they arise and take proactive action to prevent issues arising
Who you are
  • Minimum experience - Fresh Graduates are welcome. Finance & Accounting background/exposure would be advantageous. Fluency in English is highly preferred.
  • Ownership - Has aspirations to be a charismatic Recruitment Subject Matter Expert in supporting a fast-paced work environment
  • Anticipates needs - knows based on extensive experience with this stage and what's ahead
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - and constant change, able to methodically work through complex problems, set priorities and execute on commitments
  • Cross functional collaborator - plans well, prioritizes alignment, listens and asks great questions (up, down and around)
  • Strategic and independent thinker - passionate about your craft and delights in generating the right debates
  • Start-up speed and mentality - flexible, and can appreciate the crazy without judgement, works/ thinks at breakneck speed
  • Has humor and humanity - is self-aware, empathetic, can be vulnerable, builds real relationships, willing to laugh at self, fun
  • Availability - immediately available is highly preferred
