Our mission is simple: to deliver memorable experiences. Pirata Group was founded by Manuel Palacio and Christian Talpo’s mutual and insatiable passion for good food and memorable restaurants. Having forayed in the industry both abroad and in Hong Kong, the duo witnessed a need for good quality yet reasonably priced dining. Putting their heads together, they vowed to create concepts that would leave their guests with long-lasting beautiful memories.

Pirata Group was founded on a shared dream brought to life by the question of “what do you think if we built our own restaurant?” Striving to be brutally honest, safe, attentive, innovative, transparent and determined, the Group takes challenges in stride and overcomes obstacles with a team of best players.

Following the launch of Pirata in 2014, the Group has since left its imprint in the Hong Kong food and beverage industry with eleven unique concepts and 16 restaurant venues. With the simple mission of delivering memorable experiences, the Group focuses on putting the team first while serving quality cuisine within our welcoming restaurants.

We are looking for an experienced Full Time Head Pastry Chef to prepare a variety of desserts, pastries and other different sweets. Your skill in preparing high quality treats should be matched by your flexibility to produce a large range of sweets from casual items to subtil pastries and gelato.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for sweets and delicious creations. They must adhere to health and safety standards to provide clients with the best possible serving.

What you will be doing
  • Preparing a wide variety of pastries, cookies, bomboloni, chocolates and gelato.
  • Train the pastry team with the help of executive pastry chef.
Who you are
  • Minimum 5 years Proven experience as Pastry Chef or sous-chef in hotel or pastry shop
  • Organizing and leadership skills
  • Willingness to replenish professional knowledge
  • Great attention to detail and creativity
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques
  • Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, or relevant field
  • Work in close collaboration with executive pastry chef and bakery leader.
  • Guide and motivate the pastry staff. Work daily more efficiently and maintain quality standards.
  • Monitor stocks for pastry ingredients and make appropriate orders within volume production.
  • Check quality of material, condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly cooking station. Adhere to health and safety standards

We offer a competitive salary which is negotiable depending on experience.

No Pirata Group restaurant has a service charge, so ALL tips received are shared equally between restaurant staff
