What you will be doing
  • Ensure all FCE (Factory Social Compliance Evaluations) are in line with Lidl Asia defined SOP’s
  • Assist in development of Factory Evaluation plans and schedules. Communicate with the Shenzhen booking team to ensure all FCEs are arranged and conducted in line with the agreed company timelines and ensure CAPs are closed off.
  • Conduct FCE (Factory Social Compliance Evaluation) of Lidl Asia’s supplier base for factories/Mills to ensure they comply to Lidl’s C&S (Compliance & Sustainability) requirements, inclusive of International & local labor regulations/ applicable laws.
  • Review and verify the Critical Non-Compliance (CNC) found during an ongoing audit, by the ME audit team, authorized agencies or assigned 3rd parties.
  • Perform the FCE audit report review, analyze and report compliance discrepancies and  follow up with ME audit team and authorized agencies or assigned 3rd parties.
  • Perpare the FCE audit report to summarize the evaluation result, inclusive of non-compliance issues  and share internally to all internal stakeholders (Sourcing, Merchandising and Production) for new FCE assessments and Existing factories.
  • Ensure all FCE data are accurate and updated in the LUP system by the Shenzhen booking team after completion of the latest compliance evaluations.
  • Prepare FCE data for the monthly/Quartely report.
  • Monitor the CAP status and support factories deemed not meeting our evaluation criteria via CAPs, follow up meetings and or discussions and re-audits.
  • Communicate with Lidl Asia Sourcing and Merchandizing teams, keep them up-to-date with factory compliance status, flag critical non-complaince issues immediately to the Sourcing teams to ensure they are updated on the social compliance risks in their supply base and work out a solution in a collaborative manner.
  • Conduct Shadow audits when required to ensure integrity of Auditing program
  • Prepare the notification letter and send out pre-alert notification letter to all internal stakeholders and Regulartory Compliance team
  • Support Senior ME Manager in conducting process & system audits and make continual improvements in protocols/work procedures.
  • Support Senior ME Manager in the creation of standard work documentation, visual work instructions and training material.
  • Support in system upgrade and development to ensure end-state solutions meet all users’ requirements in support of business strategic goals and objectives.
  • Support in special investigation case or other tasks requested by Regulatory Compliance team
  • Support in Monitoring Day to Day data management (CBX/LUP/DE) Liaise with relevant department and sourcing team for Factory Registration Form follow up.
  • Monitor and ensure the distribution and communicate company Guidelines and Requirements to factories when required
Who you are
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree holder in related field
  • At least 3-5 years relevant experience in a sizeable organization with social compliance, BSCI/ SA8000, Better Work Factory, ACCORD or equivalent standards is a must
  • leadership experience and preferably with remote team(s); leading remote team experience preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing environment, auditing and remediation
  • Profound understanding on environment, health & safety regulations and international labour standard
  • Sensitive to cultural differences with country / regional coverage
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, able to interact with all levels
  • Autonomous, proactive, detailed and commercially minded
  • High degree of work ethics and integrity
  • Good command of both in spoken & written English,  in spoken Cantonese and Mandarin.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications PowerPoint, Word & Excel
  • ISO14000 experience is also beneficial
  • Willing to travel occasionally
