What you will be doing
  • Take responsibility for high performing daily operations and an efficient fulfilment network connected to CFU & SW on the market including planning, execution and follow up of operations, relevant negotiations, IWAY and legal compliance with a focus on quality in all touch points in the most cost effective way
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice CFF vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance in order to meet and exceed customers' expectations
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements as well as provides an open environment where talents are continuously developed including long-term competence building on identified business needs and succession planning
  • Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with all stakeholders (e.g. Regional Operations, Market Fulfilment Development and Network, Retail, Suppliers, Service Providers, Transportation Companies and Customers) connected to the CFF process in order to reach excellence in execution and exceed customer expectations
  • Take accountability for ensuring short- and mid-term capacities and resources in the market's Central Fulfilment network in order to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Hold responsibility for department budget (including both OPEX & CEPAX)
  • Monitor service providers' performance in term of quality, quantity, delivery times & transport cost and timely negotiate rates and scopes of service contracts as well as recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency etc
  • Take accountability for promoting and stimulating entrepreneurial orientation and contribution to development and innovation for the own organisation and total IKEA in close cooperation with the Group Functions
  • Conduct and review audits for implementation of customer fulfilment sustainability agendas for CFU & SW on the market
Who you are
  • You are experience of working in retail and/or logistics role, including previous management experience of leading others
  • You have proven record of communicating confidently and clearly in English
  • You are experience of working through others, set priorities, delegate responsibility, and give open and honest feedback
  • You have proven ability to inspire and engage others
  • You have business-minded with clear customer focus
  • You have proven record of meeting agreed budgets and goals, and work on plans over a number of years
  • You are experience of implementing action plans and providing clear direction and following up goals
  • You are experience of leading in a changing environment
  • You have experience of leading and managing a team preferably gained in retailing and/or logistics
  • You are able to think commercially by balancing efficiency, inspiration and profitability
  • You are able to reflect and find a value and ideas in collaborating with others
  • You have university degree in Business Administration/ Logistics/ Supply Chain or related field
  • You have 10 years solid warehouse and distribution operations experience with at least 5 years managerial role in a fast-paced retail or logistics environment
