Who we're looking for

Guidepoint (HK) is looking for a DIGITAL COPY EDITOR, INSIGHTS INTERNATIONAL TEAM – APAC DIVISION to join the team!

What you will be doing
  • Act as the final quality check for the Guidepoint Insights’ APAC team members, reviewing high-level content that includes but is not limited to digital media copy, teleconference transcripts, audio recordings, and marketing materials
  • Copyedit moderated teleconference transcripts and related promotional materials while exercising outstanding editorial judgment
  • Proofread and revise text for consistency, accuracy, and clarity based on fundamental grammatical standards, AP style and/or AMA style, guaranteeing high-quality output across client-facing materials
  • Support the functionality of the Insights digital library and aid in cataloging archived content by leveraging SEO best practices and in-house content strategy
  • Work both collaboratively and autonomously to prioritize tasks, maintain fluid workflows, and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Coordinate with colleagues across departments, providing constructive feedback when necessary with respect to turnaround demands
  • Contribute to developing editorial initiatives, engaging in creative problem solving with team members
Who you are
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Linguistics, or a related discipline from a four-year college or university
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin, with command of all nuanced spelling and grammar rules across both languages in addition to strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 3+ years of copyediting and/or digital media experience, preferably with business-focused content, medical manuscripts, or academic journals
  • Working knowledge of AP and AMA writing styles; experience leveraging these in conjunction with in-house content requirements while proofreading client-facing content
  • An agile copyediting skill set with a proven ability to excel in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital archiving experience
  • Meticulous attention to detail and solid organizational skills
  • The ability to deliver on tight deadlines and balance multiple projects without sacrificing work quality
  • Confidence to diplomatically provide clear, concise, constructive feedback when needed, and the ability to embrace constructive criticism with an optimistic disposition
  • An overall positive attitude and flexible, down-to-earth disposition that supports productive collaborations
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite, CRM and/or CMS systems, and business communication and collaboration platforms
  • Experience editing for a financial services institution, business or industry-focused publication or media outlet, health care organization or research firm, or academic journal is preferred
  • Experience with audio engineering as well as transcribing or script editing experience is preferred but not required
