Who we're looking for

gini is looking for an experienced and connected technology sales person, with a background in retail banking in Hong Kong, and/ or track record of B2B sales to hedge funds and other FIs.

What you will be doing in this role:

This role reports directly to the COO and Co Founders, and works closely with the CMO and marketing department: 

  • Develop and execute local (Hong Kong) and regional (China) sales strategy to grow revenue 
  • Work with the marketing department to collect market intelligence, identify opportunities, generate and pursue sales leads, and optimise the sales process. 
  • Structure and negotiate business partnerships with FI clients 
  • Acts as a primary contact point with assigned clients and to provide client support on a regular as well as ad hoc basis. 
  • Proactively identify, attend and participate in relevant industry events 
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of financial data, big data and alternative data, as well as the gini value proposition 
  • Manage and lead a BD executive to ensure alignment with company goals. 
  • Have strong determination and persistence to achieve sales targets of the company through excellent leadership abilities and management expertise 
  • Conduct sales meetings and provide reporting to the Founders on sales progress, and sharing knowledge and best practices to the rest of the team. 
About you:
  • Full Time Availability 
  • Accept combination of Base Salary and Commission 
  • 5+ Years in Sales or Business Development experience 
  • Experience in sales in the financial services/technology industry 
  • Excellent multilingual written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Cantonese, Mandarin and English 
  • Globally-minded and comfortable working with people from different cultural background 
  • A start-up attitude – highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your sleeves attitude that’s not afraid to work independently when required 
  • Mature, independent with minimal supervision, self-motivated, strong interpersonal and communication skills both internally and externally
