Who we're looking for


gini is looking for a motivated Event and Community Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. This person will help generate demand for our product, build awareness and engage customers turning them into brand advocates.

The ideal candidate should be creative, outgoing with a take-charge attitude and a healthy level of “hustle”, who will help us to grow, engage with, and leverage our community connections to drive revenue for our B2B solutions. This role is a multifaceted role including event marketing, community building and customer service; and has a great deal of growth potential. This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer in our Hong Kong office and will play an integral role in the Marketing team.

The initial focus of this role will be on the Australia and New Zealand markets.

What you will be doing

Responsibilities:

Event & community marketing:

  • Leverage the power of experiences to build stronger relationships with prospects and customers.
  • Work with the CMO to develop an event and community strategy and objectives; spearhead initiatives to meet business objectives to drive customer acquisition and increase customer lifetime value.
  • Responsible for all pre-event planning and management of event coordination including but not limited to: agenda, promotion, content and support materials, pre-and post-event communications with the internal team, attendees, prospects, customers and partners and any internal training required.
  • Create and execute promotions plans via social media and other digital channels for events and community activities on social media
  • Target at least 20 events per quarter, including in-person and virtual events.
  • Monitor and track opportunities to participate in conferences, tradeshows, sponsorships.
  • Lead the charge to host our own workshops, event and webinars. Find collaboration opportunities to add value to our existing community and expand our reach.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to contribute to event design, agenda, development, brand building and event communications and marketing.

Customer service:

  • Ensure a great customer experience when dealing with the brand
  • Handle day to day customer service through existing customer service channels
  • Respond to customers promptly, and pass feedback along to the product team
Who you are
  • A Bachelor’s degree preferably in communications, journalism, PR/marketing or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience as a community or event coordinator
  • Experience planning and leading community initiatives
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs
  • Creative with a capacity to spot up and coming trends in and outside of the industry that we should associate our brand
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to write promotional materials for events including social media posts, invitations and more
  • Hands-on experience with social media management
  • Energetic, creative and outgoing personality
