Who we're looking for

Crypto.com is looking for a Security Engineering Technical Lead to join the Network Security Engineering team of the Cyber Fusion Center. As a Security Engineering Technical Lead, you will oversee a team of security engineers and system administrators to provide technical leadership and team development. This is both a hands-on technical role where coding and technical capability is expected, as well as a managerial role where you will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, training and managing engineers. This role will support specifics ranging from network security, identity, automation, and infrastructure to application and software security.

What you will be doing

Manage, mentor, and lead a team of professional security engineers, data architects and DevOps engineers
Lead security controls reviews on endpoints, network, email gateway, cloud infrastructure, etc, and provide guidance on tuning tools / hardening, making sure that they are compliant with frameworks like CIS controls
Lead security posture visibility enhancement projects - for example, collecting and centralizing data - to facilitate the 7/24 monitoring team
Review infrastructure changes and identify the detection and monitoring requirements
Lead detection engineering projects, from data collection, enrichment, to detection use cases and maintenance
Lead security automation projects to enhance the Cyber Fusion Center detection and response capabilities
Manage the systems and platform like ticketing system, call system, SIEM, etc of the Cyber Fusion Center to facilitate the 7/24 monitoring needs
Participates in risk assessment and in the development of security and privacy-related guidelines and security configuration standards. Also assists in the creation of the appropriate security-related policies and procedures.
Ensure the team consistently ships high quality code and architecture
Run a lightweight agile process to pace and track what we work on and deliver
Performs in the role of team lead for assigned projects, and is responsible for successful completion

Who you are

6+ years of experience in security engineering
3+ years of experience leading security teams in an operational or technical capacity
Strong knowledge of OS systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), NGFW, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Strong technical skills and working understanding of: Cybersecurity Architecture, Cybersecurity engineering principles and information protection
Experience in information management and information technology security design and implementation
Experience managing IDS / IPS / firewall systems in distributed/hybrid cloud environment
Demonstrated experience in creating conceptual, logical and physical security diagrams, Thorough understanding of vulnerabilities and countermeasures.
Experience in managing tuning and managing SIEM platforms
Hire, mentor, and manage the performance of a highly-skilled team of engineers
Effectively communicate with senior leadership in the organization and across business functions
Industry recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GCIH, GCIA etc.
